AEW Full Gear just got bigger. On the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that Harley Cameron & Kris Statlander will challenge the Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles at the pay-per-view.
How They Earned the Shot
The number one contender’s bout went down at AEW Collision: Grand Slam France, where Cameron & Statlander defeated two teams in a three-way: Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) and the Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue).
The finish saw Statlander land Saturday Night Fever on Hart for the win. When Skye Blue tried to break it up, Cameron shoved her off the top rope and onto Divine Dominion, sealing the victory for her team.
Delayed, Not Denied
This title bout was originally scheduled for AEW WrestleDream, but it was pushed back after Jamie Hayter was not medically cleared to compete. Now, with Hayter ready, the match finally lands at Full Gear — with the Brawling Birds’ gold on the line.
The pairing of the high-energy Cameron with the powerhouse Statlander — a duo fans have started calling “Wrathlander” — has quickly become one of AEW’s most popular acts, and Full Gear will be their first shot at tag team gold together.
