Aalyah Mysterio (Credits: Fightful)
A new Mysterio has officially stepped in front of the WWE cameras. Aalyah Mysterio, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, appeared during the October 20 episode of WWE NXT on The CW — her first on-screen moment since being announced as a WWE Performance Center recruit.
The appearance came in a locker room segment setting up the singles match between Layla Diggs and Izzi Dame. As the two exchanged words, Aalyah was among the talents present, planting her firmly in the NXT scene from day one.
The Next Mysterio Generation
Aalyah’s arrival continues the Mysterio family legacy in WWE. Her father, Rey Mysterio, is one of the most beloved stars of his generation and a WWE Hall of Famer, while her brother Dominik Mysterio has become one of WWE’s biggest villains-turned-stars on the main roster.
Being officially announced as a Performance Center recruit means Aalyah will train full-time at WWE’s Orlando facility, learning alongside the company’s next wave of prospects. Fightful has also previously reported her involvement behind the scenes as WWE has evaluated her progress.
What Comes Next
For now, Aalyah’s NXT debut was a brief introduction rather than an in-ring showcase. But the placement — standing alongside talents involved in an active storyline — suggests WWE is wasting no time integrating her into the NXT universe.
Fans will be watching closely to see when she takes her first bumps on the brand, and whether WWE leans into the Mysterio name or lets her carve her own path in the women’s division.
