“Final Table” follows talented Korean chefs from around the world who gather to compete in “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a high-stakes contest to determine the best Korean chef. In the first episode, Kang Han visited Famiglia, a restaurant holding cherished memories of his father, ahead of his planned departure for the United States — only to find the food a far cry from the dishes he remembered.
After storming into the kitchen to speak his mind, Kang Han clashed with Choi Song Yi, the daughter of the restaurant’s late chef-owner. That fiery first meeting set the tone for a rivalry built on grief, pride and very different ideas about what Famiglia should be.
Final Table episode 2: Song Yi’s desperate airport plea
In the upcoming second episode, Choi Song Yi decides that joining “The Table: K-Chef 2026” is the only way to revive the struggling Famiglia. To make that plan work, she needs Kang Han — so she rushes to the airport to track him down and stop him from leaving.
Determined to keep Famiglia going, Song Yi earnestly begs Kang Han for his help, her desperation plain in her eyes. Kang Han, caught off guard by her sudden arrival and bold attempt to recruit him, is left facing a choice he did not expect to make at the departure gate.
As the two sit across from one another at a table, the air between them is charged with tension. Will Song Yi convince Kang Han to stay in Korea, or will he leave for the United States as planned?
When does Final Table episode 2 air?
Viewers will find out how Kang Han responds to Song Yi’s proposal when the second episode of “Final Table” airs on October 25 at 10:30 p.m. KST. With Famiglia’s future on the line, that airport conversation could change both characters’ plans entirely.
