Former ‘Bachelor’ Host Chris Harrison on Cease-and-Desist Over Fox Nation’s ‘The Vow’: ‘Jealousy Is a Tough Thing’

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is not backing down. After receiving a cease-and-desist letter over his new dating show The Vow, Harrison has fired back at his former bosses, dismissing the legal threat with a pointed jab.

“Sounds like somebody misses somebody really bad,” Harrison told Entertainment Tonight. “Jealousy is a tough thing. Green’s not a great color on anybody, is it?”

Chris Harrison Responds to Cease-and-Desist Over The Vow

The dispute stems from comparisons between The Vow and The Bachelor, the long-running dating franchise Harrison hosted for nearly two decades before his departure. On September 16, Fox Nation released a teaser for The Vow that included several nods to The Bachelor, and the similarities were enough to prompt a cease-and-desist letter.

Harrison, however, appears unbothered. His response to Entertainment Tonight framed the letter as less of a legal warning and more of a sign that his former employers are still thinking about him. It is the kind of confident, slightly cheeky reply that has defined Harrison’s public persona throughout his career in reality television.

The Vow Premiere Date and Details

The Vow is a six-episode dating reality series set to premiere on November 11 on Fox Nation, with Harrison hosting. The show marks Harrison’s return to the dating-show format he helped make a television institution, and the teaser alone has already generated significant buzz among Bachelor Nation fans.

Whether the cease-and-desist leads to any actual changes to the show remains to be seen, but Harrison’s public stance suggests he has no intention of backing away from the project. The premiere is now just weeks away, and the legal drama surrounding it may only add to the curiosity around the series.

For Bachelor fans, The Vow represents a reunion of sorts with the host who guided the franchise through its most iconic eras. For Harrison, it is a chance to prove he can build a dating show all over again, this time on his own terms, and with a new home on Fox Nation.
