Gong Myoung has found a new agency to call home. On October 28, BH Entertainment announced that the actor has signed an exclusive contract with the company, ending a roughly six-year partnership with Saram Entertainment that began in April 2020.

BH Entertainment praised Gong Myoung as an actor who has “convincingly brought out the charm of his characters through his understanding of different genres and steady acting skills.” The agency added that it looks forward not only to the performances he has delivered so far, but also to “the new possibilities he will explore in the future.”
It also promised close communication and support, saying it will work with him to help him fully showcase his talents through great projects and diverse roles — and asked fans to keep an eye on his upcoming project “Your Ground,” which is currently in production.

The move had been rumoured the day before the announcement, when BH Entertainment confirmed only that a meeting had taken place and said no contract had yet been finalised. The official confirmation on October 28 settled the matter: Gong Myoung is now part of one of Korea’s most prominent actor-focused agencies.
BH Entertainment was founded in 2006 by actor Lee Byung Hun and his longtime manager Son Seok Woo. Its roster includes Lee Byung Hun, Kim Go Eun, Park Bo Young, GOT7’s Park Jinyoung, Park Hae Soo, Jung Chaeyeon, Jung Ho Yeon, Han Ji Min, Han Hyo Joo and Kim Se Jeong, among others — putting Gong Myoung in company with some of the industry’s biggest names, both in Korea and abroad.
What’s Next: Your Ground Premieres December 11
Gong Myoung’s first project under his new agency is already lined up. He will star alongside fellow BH Entertainment artist Han Hyo Joo in MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Your Ground,” scheduled to premiere on December 11.
The drama tells the story of a baseball player who, after experiencing a setback, meets an agent who used to be a lawyer and sets out toward his dream once again. Gong Myoung will play baseball player Kang Hae Hwan, while Han Hyo Joo takes the role of agent Seo Hee Seung.
It is a fitting next chapter for an actor whose career has spanned genres since his 2013 debut as a member of the actor group 5URPRISE. Since then, he has appeared in dramas including “Melo Is My Nature,” “Way Back Love,” “Second Shot at Love” and “Filing for Love,” and he is widely loved for his role in the hit comedy film “Extreme Job,” which ranks third among the highest-grossing Korean films of all time.
With a new agency behind him and a high-profile drama on the way, Gong Myoung’s next act is already taking shape.
