Meta Quietly Launches Style Sketch, an AI Fashion App That Styles Your Own Closet

Meta has quietly launched Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that helps users put together outfit ideas using clothes they already own. The app connects to Instagram to build a virtual closet from photos you have already posted — or you can add items manually by snapping a photo, recording a quick video, or uploading images from your camera roll.

What Meta’s Style Sketch Does

Once your wardrobe is digitized, Style Sketch suggests outfit combinations built from your clothes and matched to your style. Users can then try on the outfits on a “realistic model matched to your body shape and skin tone,” according to the app description. You can also pick one specific item and get fresh outfit ideas built around it.

The app even helps with trip planning: enter your destination, trip length, and planned activities, and Style Sketch generates a day-by-day outfit plan that factors in the weather forecast and your itinerary.

Style Sketch Availability and Meta’s App Spree

The app was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra and is currently available in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand on iOS and Android. Meta did not respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment, and it is unknown whether the company plans a wider launch.

Meta is hardly first to the idea — startups like Alta already use AI to digitize wardrobes, and Google Photos offers tools that turn clothing photos into digital closets. Meta’s likely edge is its Instagram integration, where users already have a visual record of their personal style.

Style Sketch is one of many AI apps Meta has shipped in recent months, including Waddle World (an AI Tamagotchi-style app), Pocket (a tool for vibe-coding games), and Vibes (quick AI-generated videos). The wave is part of a broader push: the Wall Street Journal reported CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees Meta plans to release far more apps than it historically has, as AI-driven efficiencies have made shipping faster.
