After Cygames cancelled the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE concerts in Los Angeles just days before showtime, fans refused to let the weekend go to waste. Over October 22–23, 2026, Trainers gathered for a heartfelt vigil outside the Peacock Theater — and celebrated the franchise in full force at Cosplay Trackside 2026 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.

Why the Umamusume LA Concerts Were Cancelled
Cygames announced the cancellation on October 20, saying it had coordinated repeatedly with all parties but was unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US. The company apologized for announcing so close to the event date and confirmed refunds for both on-site viewing tickets and streaming tickets, adding that it is looking into possible responses for Trainers who had planned to attend in person.
On October 22, the night the first concert was supposed to happen, fans from the US and abroad gathered outside the Peacock Theater for a vigil to honor the event that never came to be. Cygames publicly acknowledged the turnout, saying its “hearts are full seeing Trainers coming together” and thanking the community for its warmth, kindness, and unwavering support.
Cosplay Trackside 2026 Keeps the Umamusume Spirit Alive
That same weekend, Cosplay Trackside 2026 took over Santa Anita Park, giving fans another way to celebrate. The event drew Umamusume Trainers together for a day dedicated to the horse-girl franchise — cosplay, community, and the shared passion that the cancelled concerts were supposed to showcase.
For many attendees, the weekend became less about what was lost and more about what the fandom built for itself. Between the vigil at the Peacock Theater and the gathering at Santa Anita Park, the Trainers proved that the Umamusume community does not need a stage to put on a show.
Whether Cygames will attempt another US date for the 7th EVENT world tour remains to be seen — but if this weekend proved anything, it is that the fans will show up regardless.
