The Remarried Empress webtoon is returning with brand-new side stories launching on Naver WEBTOON’s Daily Plus on October 29 at 10:00 p.m. KST, just days before the Disney+ live-action series premieres on November 4. The new episodes will also be available on WEBTOON’s global services.

Remarried Empress Side Stories: Navier and Heinrey’s Newlywed Life
Written by Alphatart and adapted by writer Heree and artist SUMPUL, The Remarried Empress follows Empress Navier, who answers her emperor husband’s demand for a divorce by seeking a remarriage of her own. The side stories pick up with newlywed life for Navier and Heinrey after the birth of their twins, alongside stories about supporting characters the main series never fully explored.
Fans can also expect alternate-universe stories imagining different scenarios — including revisiting the day Emperor Sovieshu announced his divorce and even a timeline where Rashta becomes Navier’s maid. These “what if” episodes are a treat for readers who spent seven years with the series.
2.97 Billion Views and a Disney+ Series on November 4
The webtoon ended in January after a seven-year run with over 2.97 billion global views across 10 translated languages, with a particularly strong following in Japan. It announced in February that it would return this fall — and now it has.
The English version is available on WEBTOON, and Ize Press is releasing the series in print. The webtoon also has an anime adaptation slated for 2027, making this a huge year for the franchise. With the side stories and the Disney+ original series landing within days of each other, Remarried Empress fans are eating very well this week.
