Finecut Sells ‘Journey There’ to Four Territories
Journey There has gone to Japan (KDDI Corporation), Taiwan (Andrews Film), Mongolia (Izagur Media) and Israel (Lev Cinema), while Kairos Distribution has picked up inflight rights for the film.
The film marks Min’s first Korean production — a notable milestone for the actor best known for Netflix series Beef and The Umbrella Academy, as well as Kogonada’s After Yang.
Hong Sangsoo’s ‘Nowhere To Lay My Eyes’ Lands More Deals
Finecut has also closed further deals on Nowhere To Lay My Eyes, Hong Sangsoo’s film that won at this year’s Locarno Film Festival. The continued sales activity around both titles suggests strong buyer interest in Korean festival cinema heading into the year’s final sales stretch.
