Phoebe Bridgers opened her Lost Weekend Tour stand at L.A.’s Intuit Dome on Friday night, and according to Variety’s concert review, the singer turned an 18,000-seat arena into something that felt startlingly intimate — full of love, grief, light shows, Peter Pan cosplay and a show-stopping duet with Billie Eilish.

The Middle Act Nobody Saw Coming
The emotional center of the show was an extended middle section where Bridgers used the no-phones setting to explore her complicated family dynamics in song and in monologue — including the process of grieving the death of her father, a figure who had both a positive and a harmful impact on her life. Moments of candor and quiet devastation like that, the review notes, do not happen in arena shows every day — or every decade.
Perhaps the most talked-about aspect of the entire tour has been Bridgers’ insistence that all smart devices be locked in Yonder pouches — nearly unheard of at arena scale, where 18,000 pouches and the staff to manage them are no small expense. Bridgers framed it not as scolding but as freedom: the freedom to speak honestly without worrying how it would look on TikTok the next morning.
Billie Eilish in a Pink Onesie
Then came the surprise of the night. Billie Eilish walked on stage in pink onesie pajamas for a duet on “Savior Complex,” the two of them dancing around in Peter Pan-inspired costumes. The Eilish cameo is sure to dominate the conversation, but for the audience in Inglewood, it was one piece of a magnificently holistic experience.
The first of three sold-out weekend shows at Intuit Dome wraps up Bridgers’ U.S. tour, and the review’s verdict is clear: put aside any idea that a Phoebe Bridgers concert is a gloomy affair. These days, it is a joyfully celebratory experience — one that can still answer Leonard Cohen’s final rhetorical question: you want it darker?
