tvN’s upcoming drama “GIFT” has unveiled new character posters, revealing the clashing baseball philosophies of its four leads ahead of its December 5 premiere at 9:10 p.m. KST. Kim Woo Bin, Seo Eun Soo, Cha Been and Han Si Hyun each anchor a poster built around the theme “The courage to throw.”

Based on a popular webtoon, the sports drama stars Kim Woo Bin as Jung Min Yong, a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains a special ability after an unexpected accident and winds up leading the high school team ranked last in the nation.
Four Characters, Four Baseball Beliefs
Jung Min Yong pulls a baseball cap low and stares straight ahead, his tagline — “I don’t believe in that anymore. All that nonsense about hard work and romance” — hinting at experiences that cost him his faith in both. Seo Eun Soo plays Yoon Seo Jin, who holds out a baseball with a determined gaze and insists, “What keeps a team together is heart.”
The two younger players embody opposite paths: Heo Seung Il (Cha Been), clutching a glove, vows to overcome his limits through sheer effort — “I’ll work even harder. Because if I work hard enough, I can make it happen.” Cha Tae Hoon (Han Si Hyun), a baseball novice with astonishing natural talent, grins and asks, “Do I just throw it like this?” Notably, both Cha Been and Han Si Hyun played baseball in their school years, a background the production team says will ground their contrasting performances.
Why “GIFT” Is One to Watch
The production team is pitching the passionate journey of Deokcheon High School’s last-ranked baseball team as the drama’s heart — four people with different beliefs colliding, clashing and growing into one team. With a webtoon pedigree, a veteran leading man and a December premiere slot, “GIFT” is shaping up as one of this winter’s must-watch K-dramas.
