The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship will be on the line at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21 with the careers of two former partners hanging in the balance. The bout between YOH and SHO carries dual stipulations, NJPW confirmed following Power Struggle 2026.

The match was set up at Power Struggle, when a mystery man appeared on screen and challenged YOH to defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title at Wrestle Kingdom 21. The masked figure declared that if YOH lost, he could never compete in NJPW again.

The mystery man then tried to ambush YOH — but YOH fought him off, landed a low blow, and unmasked the attacker as SHO, his former Roppongi 3K tag partner.

YOH accepted the challenge and fired back with his own stipulation: if he wins, SHO must leave HOUSE OF TORTURE — and Roppongi 3K would reunite.

Five-time tag champs collide at the Tokyo Dome

SHO and YOH are five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions as Roppongi 3K, making this one of the most personal rivalries on the Wrestle Kingdom 21 card. Either the junior division loses its champion for good, or SHO breaks free of HOUSE OF TORTURE and the legendary tag team rides again.

The full Wrestle Kingdom 21 card continues to take shape on the road to the Tokyo Dome in January.
