Fury vs Joshua Tickets: Cheapest Seats Were £88.50 as Half a Million Fans Join Sell-Out Queue

Fury vs Joshua Tickets: Cheapest Seats Were £88.50 as Half a Million Fans Join Sell-Out Queue

The answer, for the record: £88.50. That was the cheapest face-value ticket for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua — and half a million fans flooded the Ticketmaster queue for the fight of the decade, which sold out in under an hour.

The long-awaited all-British heavyweight showdown takes place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11, and the ticket sale was every bit as dramatic as the fight promises to be. Demand was described as almost unprecedented, with over 500,000 people in the online queue plus another 170,000 on the stadium’s own site.

From £88.50 to £13,128

Ticketmaster confirmed the organizer’s prices ran from £88.50 to £13,128 including fees for regular seats — the top end working out to roughly $17,329. Floor seats started at £345, with most priced between £700 and £900. Those figures didn’t even include VIP, hotel and travel packages.

The resale market went berserk within minutes: ringside seats were listed on StubHub for more than £8,000 within five minutes of the sale opening, and the BBC reported ringside VIP seats advertised at £73,645.

Dana White Predicts Record-Breaking Gate

UFC CEO Dana White, who has been heavily involved in promoting the fight, told Sky Sports the event is effectively a sellout and predicted a record gate for British boxing — roughly $34 million (£26-28 million).

“There were over 500,000 people in the queue. Incredible. For our generation, two of the biggest, most famous heavyweights in boxing. And not even arguable it’s the biggest UK fight ever between two British heavyweights,” White said.

For context, the current British gate record is £14 million — set by Joshua’s 2024 defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley. Fury vs Joshua could nearly double it.

What It Means for Fight Night

Neither fighter currently holds a world title, and both are in the later stages of their careers — but the decade-long wait has only made the appetite bigger. With the cheapest seats gone in minutes and resale prices soaring, December 11 at the Principality is shaping up to be a genuine sporting event of the decade. Fans can still watch the fight on Netflix at no extra cost to members.
