By Podcast mogul Conrad Thompson is not backing down. After Roman Reigns accused him of dropping the OTC’s name just to chase clicks, Thompson fired back with a full rebuttal — insisting he still stands by calling Reigns overrated, but that he is not manufacturing a personal feud.
The war of words started when Thompson labeled Reigns an “industry plant” on a podcast. The clip made its way back to Roman, who laughed it off on Club Shay Shay and suggested Thompson knew exactly what he was doing by attaching himself to Roman’s name — after all, Reigns called himself a “metric mover.”

“They Keep Asking Me”
Speaking to ALLCITY Wrestling, Thompson’s main defense was simple: he is not walking into interviews hunting for ways to bring Roman up. Other people keep asking him about it. He pointed out that he did three media appearances in one week, including Ariel Helwani’s show, and each time the question was put to him.
“I’m not looking to be in a pissing contest with Roman,” Thompson said. “I wouldn’t be a good guest if I didn’t give you the answer that you’re looking for. You asked me the question, I gave the answer. I’m not trying to look for clicks.”
The Associations Jab
Reigns had also told fans to look at Thompson’s background and the people he associates with. Conrad admitted he was not sure what Roman was implying — and then turned it around. Is he talking about Bruce Prichard, the head of WWE Creative? Or his sister-in-law, Charlotte Flair, the most decorated woman in WWE history?
Thompson also brushed off any suggestion that his criticism comes from company loyalty. He described himself as “Switzerland” when it comes to WWE and AEW, saying he has never built his platform around blindly siding with one promotion. “I watch what I like, and I talk about what I like,” he said.
And for the record, Thompson says he has not been all negativity. He called Reigns’ SummerSlam match the best of the night — he is just ready for something new creatively. But when Ariel Helwani brought up the Club Shay Shay comments, Thompson made clear he is not apologizing for an opinion people asked him to give.
