On October 20, HLL, the organizer and host of the Golden Disc Awards, announced that the duo will helm the two-day ceremony on January 9 and 10, 2027 at the special outdoor stage of the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
A Third Consecutive Year for the Duo
This marks the pair’s third straight year as the ceremony’s MC team, following their turns at the 39th and 40th Golden Disc Awards. Their chemistry — warm, quick-witted, and genuinely fond — has become one of the show’s most reliable highlights, and organizers clearly saw no reason to fix what isn’t broken.
11 Years and Counting for Sung Si Kyung
The more staggering number belongs to Sung Si Kyung alone: this will be his 11th consecutive year holding the MC microphone at the Golden Disc Awards. More than a decade of hosting one of K-pop’s biggest nights has made him the ceremony’s defining voice, and his return cements his status as the awards’ most trusted veteran.
The announcement is just the opening act — nominees and the performing artist lineup are expected to follow soon, so stay tuned as K-pop’s biggest night in Hanoi takes shape.
