Paxley and Bliss walked into SmackDown looking for their first successful title defense after winning the gold from Fatal Influence on the October 9 episode. Instead, a night of chaos at the end of the match cost them everything.
How B-Fab and Michin Won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
The finish came in a flurry. As the match reached its climax, Michin distracted the referee, creating the opening for Jade Cargill to strike Tatum Paxley in the face from the outside. Michin immediately followed up with a Styles Clash on Paxley and covered her for the pin.
The controversial assist from Cargill will surely fuel debate among fans, but the result stands: B-Fab and Michin are now the top of the women’s tag division, and a rematch feels inevitable given how the title changed hands.
What Happened on WWE SmackDown October 23
Paxley and Bliss’s reign lasted just two weeks, one of the shortest women’s tag title runs in recent WWE memory. For B-Fab and Michin, the win marks a career milestone and their first championship as a team.
With Crown Jewel looming on the calendar, the new champions’ first defense will be one of the most watched developments on SmackDown in the coming weeks.
