The Philadelphia Eagles will be without their top two wide receivers for Monday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks have both been ruled out, leaving an already depleted offense desperately short of options in a crucial divisional clash.

Smith, dealing with a hamstring injury, missed practice all week before being ruled out on the team’s final injury report for Week 7. Wicks, who has an ankle injury, was also ruled out. It is a brutal blow for an Eagles side looking to snap a four-game losing streak.
Eagles Missing Top Two WRs as Smith, Wicks Ruled Out vs Cowboys
With Smith and Wicks sidelined, the Eagles’ available wideouts on the 53-man roster are rookie Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore and Britain Covey. Lemon led the corps in playing time last week and should do so again, while tight end Dallas Goedert — cleared after a full practice on Saturday — is set to become a go-to target for quarterback Tanner McKee.
There is some better news in the backfield. Running back Saquon Barkley, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, is listed as questionable after moving up to full practice participation on Saturday. His presence would be welcomed on an offense that is low on wide receivers.
Eagles Injury Report: More Names Out for Monday Night
Beyond the two wideouts, the Eagles’ injury report makes grim reading. Linebacker Nolan Smith (concussion) and defensive back Michael Carter (abdomen) have also been ruled out for Philadelphia. Several others carry questionable designations, including edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (ankle) and linebacker Jalyx Hunt (knee, ankle).
Smith’s next opportunity to play will be Week 8 against the Commanders on Sunday, November 1. For now, though, the Eagles must find a way to beat their biggest rivals on Monday night without their two leading receivers — and with their season already on a knife’s edge.
