The December 31 event is NOAH’s New Year’s Eve show, and the promotion will follow it the next day with another event on January 1, 2027, titled NOAH The New Year. Sasaki’s return gives the year-end card an immediate headline attraction.
Ulka Sasaki Returns to NOAH on December 31 After WWE Excursion
Sasaki has been on excursion with WWE, where he made his NXT in-ring debut in February 2026. He has yet to wrestle on NXT television, but he has competed on WWE EVOLVE, most recently appearing on the September 16 episode.
Before his excursion, Sasaki built an impressive resume in NOAH as a former GHC National Champion and GHC Tag Team Champion. His return to Yokohama Buntai brings a proven champion back into the promotion’s fold at a marquee moment on the calendar.
NOAH announced the return on social media during Wrestle Odyssey II, billing it as the promotion’s first New Year’s Eve big match at Yokohama Buntai, with Sasaki coming home from his WWE NXT challenge.
