The German commentary duo of Denis Pötzsch and Walandi Tsanti will host the broadcasts. Both are familiar faces to sports and entertainment audiences: Pötzsch previously provided commentary for the shows back in the Impact era, making this a homecoming for him, while Tsanti provided commentary for WWE SmackDown for ten years.

TNA stands for “Total Nonstop Action” and combines over 20 years of history with a modern, dynamic wrestling product. On SPORT1, the shows will feature German commentary and be available to everyone for free, opening the brand up to long-time fans and first-time viewers alike.

Why Sport1 Picked Up TNA Wrestling

“We’re expanding our sports lineup step by step, and TNA Wrestling fits perfectly into this strategy,” said Andreas Gerhardt, SPORT1’s Chief Content & Distribution Officer. “The brand has a long tradition and is, at the same time, a modern, fast-paced product. This allows us to reach die-hard wrestling fans as well as people who are watching the sport on our channel for the first time.”

Pötzsch added: “Walandi and I are really looking forward to bringing TNA Wrestling to fans on SPORT1 as commentators. What can viewers expect on SPORT1? In three words: ‘Total Nonstop Action.'” The deal gives TNA a new free-TV home in one of Europe’s biggest markets, just as the promotion continues to build its international footprint.
