The September issue of Akita Shoten‘s Monthly Princess magazine announced on Thursday that writer Saiko Wadori and artist Mika Kajiyama‘s His Majesty the Demon King’s Housekeeper (Maō Heika no Osōji-gakari) manga will end in its next chapter in the magazine’s November issue in October.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and describes the story:

Sakura loves when everything is neat, clean, and in its place. She’s on the school Beautification Committee and spends every spare moment mopping or dusting to keep things tidy and perfect. When Sakura is transported to a fantasy world, she’s immediately flabbergasted by how dirty everything is! The land is under a curse which prohibits cleaning magic, and the residents have really let things go. Even the demon king’s castle is a complete mess. Sakura isn’t going to stand for it. She’ll put this kingdom in order, even if it means working directly with the intimidatingly attractive demon king himself!

Wadori and Kajiyama debuted the manga in Monthly Princess magazine in February 2019. Akita Shoten published the manga’s 13th compiled book volume on April 16.

Mechanical designer, planner, and toy designer Katsushi Murakami died on July 20. His health had been poor this year. He was 83.

Murakami was born on September 23, 1942 in Gifu, Japan.

Murakami served as a mechanical designer for numerous anime including Shin Tetsujin 28, Gold Lightan – The Golden Warrior, Machine Robo: Battle Hackers, Video Warrior Laserion, Reideen the Brave, Gekisō! Rubenkaiser, Kishin Taisen Gigantic Formula, and Space Adventure Cobra. He designed cars for the F-Zero Falcon Densetsu anime, and he is also credited as a planner in 3×3 Eyes, Little Twins, and Super Dimensional Fortress Macross II: The Movie.

He had joined Bandai in 1961, then worked for its subsidiary Popy. He is known for designing the Chogokin line of robot toys, with Chogokin being the metal used to construct the mecha Mazinger Z. He also designed toys for tokusatsu and sentai live-action shows such as Kamen Rider.

The digital summer issue of 2026 SAG-AFTRA’s quarterly magazine is listing that Canadian voice actor Michael Donovan (listed as Michael David Donovan) had died on March 4. His fellow voice actor Ian James Corlett made a post about Donovan’s death after he had learned about it from the magazine. He was 72 in March, and would have turned 73 this year on June 12.

Donovan had numerous roles in anime, including Ryoga Hibiki in the original Ranma ½ anime, Cye Mouri in Ronin Warriors, Zouken Matou in Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel, Master Roshi in an older dub of Dragon Ball, and Primus in Transformers: Cybertron.

He also had other memorable roles in animated series such as Mike The TV and Phong in ReBoot, Guile in Street Fighter, Jack Hollister in Skysurfer Strike Force, Wes Weasley in The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog, Eggplant Wizard in Captain N: The Game Master, and Sabertooth in X-Men: Evolution.
