Please Excuse My Younger Brothers TV Anime Reveals More Cast, New Ending Theme – News

The staff for the television anime adaptation of Akira Ozaki‘s Please Excuse My Younger Brothers (Uchi no Otōto-domo ga Sumimasen) manga revealed the third promotional video and a second key visual on Friday for the show’s second cours (quarter of a year). The second cours will start on October 2.


The above video previews both the opening and ending theme songs. Neguse. performs the new opening theme song “LOVE & LIKE,” and MEminor performs the ending theme song “Mabataki.”

The anime debuted on July 3 on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 at 24:00 JST (effectively July 4 at 12 midnight JST), and will air for two consecutive cours. The anime will have a total of 24 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs.

The anime stars:

Hitoshi Nanba (Golden Kamuy) is directing the anime at Lay-duce. Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) is handling series composition. Shiori Hiraiwa (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!) and Yōko Fukushima (#COMPASS2.0 ANIMATION PROJECT) are designing the characters. Gin of Busted Rose (Pop Team Epic; Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro) is composing the music.

Additional staff members are:

 DISH// performs the current opening theme song “Aikotoba” and Reira Ushio performs the current ending theme song “Clover.”

The manga centers on high school student Ito Hazui. During her spring break at the end of her first year of high school, Ito’s mother remarries, and Ito moves to live with her new family, becoming Ito Narita. Upon arriving at her new house, Ito is shocked to learn she now has four younger step-brothers. Ito tries her hardest to get along with all of the new members of her family, but the eldest brother Gen is a bit cold to her. However, under his aloof facade, he occasionally shows his kindness.

Ozaki debuted the manga in Shueisha‘s Bessatsu Margaret magazine in January 2020. Shueisha published the manga’s 15th compiled book volume on June 25.

The manga inspired a live-action film adaptation that opened in Japan in December 2024. The film debuted at #4 in its opening weekend.

The November issue of Kadokawa‘s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine announced on Saturday Katsura Ise and Takuma Yokota will launch a new miniseries for their Destroy All Humans. They Can’t Be Regenerated. A Magic: The Gathering Manga (Subete no Jinrui o Hakai suru. Sorera wa Saisei Dekinai.) manga, based on the Magic: The Gathering trading card game, beginning in the December issue on October 26. The series will be titled Subete no Jinrui o Hakai suru. Sorera wa Saisei Dekinai. -Timeshift- (Destroy All Humans. They Can’t Be Regenerated. -Timeshift-).

Ise confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) the new manga will be a short limited series that will run for four chapters irregularly in the magazine.

The manga first debuted as a one-shot in Monthly Shōnen Ace in August 2018. The manga started its serialization in the magazine in November 2018. Wizards of the Coast LLC. is credited with cooperation. The manga ended serialization in April 2025, and Kadokawa shipped the 18th and final volume in June 2025.

Akaza Samamiya announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday the Mr. Mallow Blue: After The Rain side story to the Mr. Mallow Blue manga will end in the next chapter.

The original series focuses on the meetings of various social outcasts, including a fragile girl, a shut-in, and a handsome man who wears a cold expression as a mask.

Samamiya launched the side story in the March issue of Kadokawa‘s Asuka magazine, which shipped in January.

Samamiya launched the main manga in Kadokawa‘s Asuka magazine in November 2019, and ended the series with the the sixth and final compiled book volume on December 24.

Samamiya launched the Ballad x Opera manga in Asuka in May 2017, and ended it in September 2019. Kadokawa published the manga’s fifth and final volume in November 2019.

Samamiya serialized the Bloody Mary manga series in Asuka from November 2013 until February 2017. Kadokawa published 10 volumes for the manga, and Viz Media published all 10 volumes in English.
