‘Sayonara Lara’ Reveals Supporting Cast Pair, Ending Theme, Third Promo

The official website of the Sayonara Lara (Goodbye, Lara) original television anime unveiled a supporting pair of cast, ending theme, the third main visual (pictured), and promotional video on Saturday. The original anime is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX at 12:30 a.m. on July 6, followed by AT-X, BS Asahi, and Yomiuri TV.

Voice actors Minami Tsuda (Toumei Otoko to Ningen Onna) and Kazutomi Yamamoto (Touken Ranbu Kai) are joining the cast as Lisa and Kota, respectively.

Singer-songwriter Hana Hope (Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf) is performing the ending theme “Hearts Glow,” which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Takushi Koide (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon episode director) is helming the anime at Kinema Citrus. Anna Kawahara is handling the series composition and Shiori Tani (Star Wars: Visions) is designing the characters. Yuma Yamaguchi (Shiguang Dailiren) is composing the music.

Viz Media Releases Yukiaki Kurando, Wooma’s Kiss Me With Your Face Manga in English – News

Viz Media announced on Friday that it has licensed storywriter Yukiaki Kurando and artist WOOMA‘s Kiss Me with Your Face (Kimi no Kao de Boku ni Kiss shite) manga as a new simulpub series. The first chapter of the manga is available on Viz Media‘s website for free.

Viz Media describes the manga:

When an envious classmate takes over his body, top-ranked student Shikimi’s reputation and livelihood are put at risk.

Kurando and WOOMA launched the manga in the July issue of Akita Shoten‘s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine on June 15.

Kurando and artist Sōsō Sakakibara launched the suspense manga Then Shall I Kill in Your Stead? (Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka?) in Akita Shoten‘s Bessatsu Young Champion magazine in November 2018. The manga ended in November, and also got a three-chapter epilogue. Akita Shoten published the manga’s 12th and final compiled book volume on April 20. Yen Press licensed the manga and will publish the first volume on August 25.

Kodansha USA Publishing also publishes Kurando and Yūsuke Nomura‘s Dolly Kill Kill manga in English. The manga has 11 volumes.

Kadokawa revealed a third promotional video for the Goodbye, Lara (Sayonara Lara) original anime on Saturday. The video reveals and previews Hana Hope‘s ending theme song “Hearts Glow.”


The anime’s staff also revealed a new main visual and more cast members.

The anime will debut on July 5 at 24:30 (effectively July 6 at 12:30 a.m.) on Tokyo MX, before airing later that night on BS Asahi and YTV. The anime will also air on AT-X starting on July 6. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs.

The anime stars:

Takushi Koide is directing the series at Kinema Citrus, and Anna Kawahara is overseeing the series scripts. Shiori Tani is the character designer, and Yuma Yamaguchi is composing the music at Kadokawa.

Ikimono-gakari performs the anime’s opening theme song “Sayonara Lara.”

Goodbye, Lara tells a tale similar to Hans Christian Andersen‘s The Little Mermaid. The story follows a mermaid who makes a forbidden wish to be loved by a human. Following her death, she is reborn 200 years later into modern-day Japan in Lake Biwa, where she learns to adjust in a human world. The setting of Lake Biwa is in Shiga prefecture of Japan, which is also where director Takushi Koide‘s hometown is located.

Final episode airs on June 25



The staff for the television anime of Noriaki Kotoba‘s The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King (Hime Kishi wa Barbaroi no Yome) manga revealed a new visual and promotional video on Saturday previewing the show’s climax. The final episode will air on June 25.

The show debuted on April 9 at 9:30 p.m. on AT-X, and also airs on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and Kansai TV

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs worldwide excluding Japan and mainland China and is also streaming an English dub. The anime was originally slated to debut in October 2025 but was delayed to April 2026.

Takayuki Tanaka (Baldr Force EXE) is directing the anime at JumondoMiya Asakawa (Shonen Onmyouji) is in charge of series scripts. Masayoshi Kikuchi (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist In Another World) is credited as the main character designer, while Mayumi Fujita and Hajime Hatakeyama are credited for character design, and Lo Ho Kim as sub-character designer. Kikuchi, Fujita, Hatakeyama, and Kim are also all credited as chief animation directors. Arisa Okehazama is composing the music. Mayu Maeshima performs the opening theme song “Beautiful” and sajou no hana performs the ending theme song “Shiru Beki Koto.”

Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in English under the title The Barbarian’s Bride, and it describes the story:

Serafina de Lavillant, the strongest female knight in the West, was sent to subjugate the barbaric tribes of the East. But when her mission fails spectacularly, she’s captured alive and imprisoned. Humiliated and dreading what horrific torture she’ll endure, she asks to be put to death. To her surprise, rather than tearing her limb from limb, the tribe leader asks for her hand…in marriage! Will Serafina face a cruel and abusive arranged marriage? Or will she discover that these tribes aren’t as barbaric as she was led to believe?

Kotoba launched the series in Kodansha‘s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in January 2021. Kodansha shipped the 11th compiled book volume on April 9. K MANGA is also releasing the manga in English digitally under the title The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King.
