Kindergarten Wars Anime Casts Mirei Kumagai – News

Kumagai voices Mac in spring 2027 series



The official X/Twitter account for the television anime of Yū Chiba‘s Kindergarten WARS (Yōchien Wars) manga revealed on Thursday that Mirei Kumagai will voice Mac, a teacher in the Violet class and Lyla’s caretaker who wears a yellow bear costume:

The anime will debut in spring 2027.

The anime stars:

Shinsuke Gomi (episode director for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Secrets of the Silent Witch) is directing the anime at Sunrise and Felix Film, and Junko Yamanaka (Kamisama Kiss, Servamp) is designing the characters.

Shueisha‘s MANGA Plus website publishes the Kindergarten WARS manga digitally. Yen Press published the manga’s fourth volume physically on April 28.

Yen Press describes the story:

Rita is Convict 999, a former legendary assassin who now works at a kindergarten for the children of world leaders. Her job is to protect the schoolchildren from the clutches of would-be assassins sent after them! But even with her overwhelming strength, Rita has a weakness—she’s head-over-heels for good-looking men!

Chiba launched the manga on Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022. Shueisha published the manga’s 17th compiled book volume on April 3. The manga entered its final arc in March 2025, and has over 2 million copies in circulation.

Chiba launched the Yōchien Wars -LUKE- (Kindergarten WARS -LUKE-) spinoff manga in November 2024. The spinoff manga is a 180-page story about the character Luke.

The World’s Strongest Witch Anime’s New Video Reveals 2 Cast Members – News

The official website for the television anime of  Mochimaru Sakaki‘s The World’s Strongest Witch: I’m Starting My Free Life in a World Where Only I Can See the Online Strategy Guide (Sekai Saikyō no Majo, Hajimemashita: Watashi dake “Kōryaku Site” o Mireru Sekai de Jiyū ni Ikimasu) light novel series began streaming a promotional video for the anime on Friday. The video reveals two cast members for the anime.


The new cast members include (Note: Character name romanizations are not official):

Fairouz Ai as Erimina, the master of the adverturers’ guild known as the “Inferno Witch”

Honoka Inoue as Eruna, an elff princess who worries over her sick mother

Azusa Tachibana was previously announced as voicing protagonist Rona Hermit.

Yen Press is releasing the light novels in English, and released the second volume on April 14. Yen Press describes the story:

When Lorna manifests a completely useless ability, she’s labeled an embarrassment to her family and kicked out of the house. With no money or food, she’s about to hit rock bottom. But then, she figures out how to use her supposedly worthless SSS-Rank skill, “Internet.” This cheat-level talent gives her the know-how to gather an unlimited amount of valuable items and easily acquire rare equipment. Armed with godlike knowledge, Lorna’s free to do anything she wants! If only she could figure out what “lmfao” means…

Jōji Furuta (ēlDLIVE, Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, Bad Girl) is directing the anime at the studios Bridge and Aisle. Shoji Yonemura (Pokémon Journeys: The Series, One Piece 2013-onwards, Bad Girl) is in charge of the series scripts. Yūki Morimoto (Cardfight!! Vanguard GZ, Boarding School Juliet, Bad Girl) is designing the characters.

The anime will premiere in October.

Mochimaru Sakaki began serializing the original story in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in May 2022. Square Enix published the first print novel volume in December 2022, with illustrations by riritto. The fifth novel volume shipped in May 2025.

Tamaki Toga launched a manga adaptation in Kodansha‘s Getsu Maga Kichi/Comic Days website in May 2023. Kodansha published the manga’s 12th compiled book volume on May 8.

Comikey publishes both Daisuke Takashima‘s manga adaptation of Sakaki’s The Strongest Swordsman Has Zero Equipment Slots novel series, as well as Namiki Tsukiyama‘s manga adaptation of Sakaki’s Final Boss Fake-out novel series in English. Square Enix also publishes both manga in English on its Manga UP! Global website.

‘Mao’ Reveals Additional Cast, Opening Theme for Second Cour

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi‘s Mao manga revealed additional cast, a second key visual (pictured right), and the opening theme for second cour on Friday. The anime series premiered on April 4 at 11:45 p.m. on NHK G.

Cast

Hakubi: Takuya Satou (Yuukoku no Moriarty)

Natsuno: Rie Kugimiya (Gintama)

Daigo: Katsuyuki Konishi (Kimetsu no Yaiba)

Souma Kagami: Tasuku Kaito (Blue Lock)

Kagari Houshou: Shino Shimoji (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru)

Boy group 20th Century will perform the opening theme for second cour “Bokura ga Uwagaki suru Sekai.”

Teruo Satou (Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi) is directing the anime at Sunrise, with Yuuko Kakihara (Urusei Yatsura (2022)) handling the series composition. Yoshihito Hishinuma (InuYasha) is designing the characters and chief animation director. Shuu Kanematsu (Hametsu no Oukoku) is composing the music.

Takahashi began serializing the supernatural manga in Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine in May 2019. Shogakukan published the 29th volume on June 18.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in February 2021. The 24th volume shipped on May 12, with the 25th volume planned for an August 11 release.
