Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Manga Resumes on August 18 – News

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Square Enix‘s G Fantasy magazine announced on Monday that Iro Aida‘s Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun (Jibaku Shōnen Hanako-kun) manga will resume in the September issue releasing on August 18.
The manga entered a hiatus in the magazine’s December 2025 issue on November 18, due to Aida’s medical treatment for an unspecified illness.
The series took a break in July 2025 and returned in August 2025.
Yen Press is releasing the manga, and it describes the story:
“Hanako-san, Hanako-san…are you there?”
At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school’s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls’ bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom…but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy’s Hanako-san…is a boy!
Aida launched the ongoing manga in Square Enix‘s G Fantasy magazine in 2014. Square Enix published the manga’s 25th volume in October 27. Yen Press published the 23rd volume on November 20, and will release the 24th volume on July 28.
The first television anime adaptation of the manga premiered in Japan in January 2020. The show had 12 episodes. Funimation streamed the series with an English dub and with English subtitles. The anime’s second season premiered on January 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the new season as it aired in Japan, and also streamed an English dub. The second part of the second season premiered in July 2025.
Aida launched the After-School Hanako-kun (Hōkago Shōnen Hanako-kun) spinoff manga in pixiv Comic in February 2018, and ended it with the 25th chapter in October 2021. Square Enix published one compiled book volume for the manga in August 2019. Yen Press published the volume in English in April 2021. A television anime adaptation of the spinoff manga premiered in October 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime.

Blue Summer Haze Manga Ends in 5th Volume – News

The fourth compiled book volume of Dondon‘s Blue Summer Haze manga announced on Monday that the manga will end in its fifth volume in winter 2027. The fourth volume of the manga shipped early on Comic CMOA on Sunday, but was released on other retail outlets on Monday.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes its story:
Makoto’s favorite childhood memories are of playing baseball with his best friend and former teammate Shuusuke, the catcher of his baseball team. When Shuusuke suddenly moves away, Makoto is left devastated, but clings to the promise of the two of them someday reuniting at Koshien Stadium. Now in high school, Makoto is the star pitcher of his high school’s baseball team, and he and Hokuto, the team’s catcher, are an all-star duo. But one day, Shuusuke suddenly transfers to Makoto’s school, and now baseball isn’t the only thing on the boys’ minds under the scorching heat of the baseball diamond…
Dondon launched the manga in Kodansha‘s Honey Milk in December 2023.

How to Grill Our Love Manga Ends – News
Series debuted in 2020, ends on Thursday

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Shiori Hanatsuka‘s How to Grill Our Love (Yaiteru Futari) manga confirmed on Monday that Kodansha‘s Comic Days platform will publish the final chapter on Thursday.
Kodansha USA publishes the series in English and describes the story:
Dating can be tough when you nerd out over barbecue. Kenta, a practical pitmaster, looks for a grill-friend in Chihiro, an aloof and faultless business babe…or is she? Scared of being rejected for who they really are, the two of them find comfort in food and each other…and all is well until Kenta must transfer away. With their developing relationship at steak, Chihiro proposes they tie the knot and they marry for better or wurst. Winging a long-distance marriage is one thing, but here’s the rub—they barely know each other! It’s a rare marriage where all the awkwardness of dating meets a sizzling passion for grilling!
Hanatsuka debuted the manga in Kodansha‘s Morning magazine in September 2020. Kodansha shipped the 24th compiled book volume on June 23.
Kodansha USA shipped the 21st volume on July 7.
The series inspired a live-action adaptation in July 2025.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Anime Gets English Dub – News

Crunchyroll announced on Monday an English dub for the television anime of Saekisan‘s The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) light novel series. All 12 episodes for the first season will launch with the English dub on Wednesday.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten anime’s second season premiered on April 3 on the Tokyo MX channel at 10:30 p.m. JST (9:30 a.m. EDT), and then on BS NTV. The series streamed simultaneously on the ABEMA and d Anime Store streaming services in Japan.
The first season premiered on Tokyo MX in January 2023. The series also aired on BS NTV and AT-X. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired.
Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English, and it describes the romantic comedy:
Amane lives alone in an apartment, and the most beautiful girl in school, Mahiru, lives just next door. Saekisan began serializing the story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website in December 2018. SB Creative‘s GA Bunko imprint began publishing the story in print volumes with illustrations by Hanekoto in June 2019. A manga adaptation by Suzu Yūki launched on the Manga UP! service in January 2022. Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga.
