“America’s Got Talent” has found the winner for its 21st Season.

After a two-night finale filled with performances from the season’s 10 finalists as well as a handful of special guests, the NBC competition show crowned its Season 21 winner as musician Nene Royal. The newly crowned winner will take home the grand prize of $1 million.

In addition to Royal, the 10 finalists included animal act Acro Canine Crew, dance group Come Here, magician Geno Ploeger, magic group Hundred Fingers, singer Lai Noelle, animal act Olivia Befus, laser dance group Royal Lasers, performance group Unitree Robotics and aerial performer Veronika Goroshkova.

For the finale, the “America’s Got Talent” judging panel – which includes Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara and Mel B — was joined by YouTuber, musician and boxer KSI.

Mandel surprised third-place Hundred Fingers with a promise to take the group to Las Vegas and produce their show. “I’ll pay for it,” he said after their results were revealed.

Over the course of the two-night finale, several special performers took the stage, including Linkin Park, who performed their hit single “The Emptiness Machine,” as well as Josh Groban, who performed “Skyfall” off his album “Cinematic.”

Other special guests and performers included Trisha Paytas, Lele Pons, Taylen Biggs, Rei Ami, Steve Aoki, Chloe Flower, Bruce Buffer and “AGT” alumni Mat Franco and Jessica Sanchez. Sanchez won Season 20, and performed one of her original songs.

Paytas took the stage to try out the wide-ranging talents represented by this installment’s finalists while Flower performed her new release “Winter.” And Buffer kicked off Tuesday evening with a high-powered introduction.

Cowell created “America’s Got Talent,” which is co-produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. Cowell executive produces alongside Sam Donnelly and Natasha Brugler.

Transformers fans have embraced the opportunity to give Optimus Prime a proper tribute.

Marking the 40th anniversary of animated feature The Transformers: The Movie initially launching in August 1986, Hasbro and Fathom Entertainment teamed up for the theatrical rerelease, billed as a one-week opportunity that began Sept. 17. The response for The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary has surpassed initial projections, as the remastered 4K animated film hit No. 7 on the weekend domestic chart and has crossed $5 million globally as of Tuesday.

The playful marketing strategy included Hasbro branding the film’s yearlong anniversary celebration as “The Apology Tour,” referencing the first act’s shocking death for beloved hero Optimus Prime. The rerelease also allows fans to pay respects to Peter Cullen — the longtime voice of the character — who died last month at age 85. Cullen delivers his final performance in the 12-minute animated short Optimus Prime: Awakening, a theatrical exclusive that screens following the 1986 movie.

“We’re thrilled at Fathom, but we also had high expectations,” Fathom Entertainment vp of marketing Shannah Miller tells The Hollywood Reporter. “This has been an extraordinary partnership with Hasbro. They kicked off the Apology Tour in honor of the 40th anniversary of the film, which also then means the early death of Optimus Prime, 26 minutes into the film.”

While the rerelease was expected to end on Wednesday, THR has learned that hundreds of movie theaters worldwide are continuing to run the film. Indeed, some cinemas have scheduled showtimes through Oct. 7.

As of Tuesday, The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary stands as Fathom’s No. 3 highest-grossing 2026 title. It ranks behind top earner The Amazing Digital Circus, along with the rerelease of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

The Transformers property began its life with the Hasbro toy line that launched in 1984. It spawned an animated television series two years later.

From director Nelson Shin, The Transformers: The Movie made the risky choice of killing off a number of popular characters — most notably Optimus Prime, who led the Autobots in their battle against the Decepticons. With a voice cast that included Orson Welles, Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy and Robert Stack, in addition to Transformers mainstay Frank Welker as Megatron, the title grossed less than $6 million domestically for De Laurentiis Entertainment Group in the initial run but has amassed a cult following in the ensuing years.

Meta today announced a new generation of VR glasses that it promised will “define a new era for virtual reality,” creating an all-in-one productivity and media device.

Meta VR Glasses will deliver cinema, TV and sports content in one device with access to Prime Video, YouTube, Peacock, HBO Max, and Paramount+, DIRECTV, AMC+, Crunchyroll, Plex, Tubi, the NBA, MLB, ESPN, MLB, NBC Sports, TNT Sports and UFC, some with virtual and 3D enhancements. The frames are set to be released in Spring 2027 at a price point of $1300.

Like Apple’s Vision Pro — to which they bear more than a passing resemblance — you can watch movies, TV and sports on “theater-sized” virtual screens, video chat with your friends or work in an app environment similar to that on your phone.

Meta VR Glasses will be operated with hand gestures or by moving your eyes to icons on the screen.

Thankfully, Meta VR Glasses are five times lighter than their predecessor, the clunky Meta Quest 3. That’s primarily because the device is split in two: the frames and a pocket-sized device called a “puck.” The VR Glasses handle sensors and display. The puck, connected by an optical tether, handles compute, battery and storage and can be slipped into (or clipped onto) a pocket or bag.

The device’s TV app promises “the best media lineup of any VR device,” plus offerings from the 3D media catalogs of Peacock, HBO Max and Paramount+.

Even before the glasses launch, through a partnership with Disney+, subscribers to that service will be able to stream movies like The Avengers, Black Panther and more in 3D on Meta Quest headsets. There will also be themed immersive viewing environments from Disney franchises like Tatooine and the Avengers Tower.

Hundreds of movies will be available to rent or buy later this year on Meta Quest, with thousands of titles available by Meta VR Glasses’ launch next spring. Those will eventually include 3D films from Lionsgate and “first time in 3D” blockbusters from James Cameron and Lightstorm Vision.

Sports apps, like NBA, MLB and ESPN will be available on the device, with ESPN offering “Immersive Sports,” billed as “a front-row seat, 8K streaming, and 180-degree views.” Immersive Sports will launch with college football this year on Meta Quest, with more sports to come in 2027. Meta VR Glasses launch will being over 100 immersive live sports events each year from MLB, NBC Sports, TNT Sports and UFC.
