Six Applicants, One Dark Secret
“Final Interview” follows six applicants who survive to the final round of interviews at a global IT company, in the middle of an intensely competitive job market. But this is no ordinary recruitment process. When mysterious envelopes containing exposés about each of them turn up at the interview venue, the six begin to suspect one another — and what should have been a job interview spirals into a tense psychological battle.
The concept is irresistible: everyone has something to hide, and everyone knows it. As the applicants turn on each other, every alliance becomes a gamble and every smile a potential threat.
Casual Looks, Complex Characters
The newly released stills catch the applicants away from the interview room, dressed in outfits that reflect their personalities. Cho Yi Hyun plays Moon Hye In, a calm observer who carefully reads every situation; she pairs a burgundy knit top with a blue shirt, her resolute gaze hinting at a steelier side than the interviewers ever see.
Kim Jae Won plays Han Jin Woo, an open-minded idealist, showcasing gentlemanly charm in a tonal outfit of a zip-up hoodie and gray coat. Shin Seung Ho plays Baek Seung Bin, an action-oriented leader who once captained his high school baseball team, rocking a rugged look: leather jacket, denim pants, sunglasses, and gloves.
Kang You Seok plays Lee Hee Chan, a natural mediator who brings a relaxed, approachable vibe in a gray knit cardigan with a contemplative expression. Kwak Dong Yeon plays Jeon Yo Han, a strategist who rarely reveals his true intentions; his dark gray outerwear and thin metal-frame glasses give him a sharp, intellectual edge.
Rounding out the group is Bae Gang Hee as Cha Joo Won, a perfectionist with an impeccable résumé, who conveys an aloof charm in an off-the-shoulder knit top. Six distinct personalities, six hidden exposés — and only one can land the job.
A Psychological Battle Worth Watching
With its mix of corporate suspense and psychological warfare, “Final Interview” is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing ensemble thrillers on the horizon. The casual stills are a clever tease: these characters look ordinary, approachable, even likable. But once those envelopes are opened, nothing stays friendly for long.
