By The CMLL x NJPW Lucha Kingdom card is stacking up. Coming up on November 16th at Arena México, the cross-promotional showcase just added two marquee bouts via the October 14th episode of CMLL Informa: Kira vs. Syuri for the IWGP Women’s Championship, and a non-title singles showdown between Zack Sabre Jr. and CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero.

Syuri’s Year-Long Reign Gets Its Biggest Test
Syuri has been IWGP Women’s Champion for a full year, defending the belt five times in her current reign. Now “La Maravilla Aérea” Kira gets the biggest opportunity of her career, challenging for the title on one of lucha libre’s grandest stages.
CMLL billed it as one of the most important matches of Kira’s career — a true test of whether she can dethrone a champion who has held the division in a vice grip for twelve months.
Sabre Jr. vs. Hechicero: A Technical Masterclass
The other headline addition promises to be a genuine mat-wrestling clinic. Zack Sabre Jr., one of the finest technical wrestlers in the world, takes on Hechicero, the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion. CMLL’s announcement teased it as “una auténtica cátedra de lucha libre” — an authentic masterclass in wrestling. Non-title it may be, but expect championship-level intensity.
The Rest of the Card
The rest of the announced lineup is equally stacked:
Three-Way Tag Team Match for the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship: Los Hermanos Chávez (Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja) (c) vs. United Empire (Francesco Akira & Templario) vs. Unbound Co. (Taiji Ishimori & Titán)
HOUSE OF TORTURE (DOUKI & SHO) vs. Guerrero Maya Jr. & Xelhua
Master Wato, Okumura & YOH vs. Brillante Jr., Capitán Suicida & Rey Pegasus
Lucha Kingdom 2026 is shaping up to be a must-see collision of Mexico and Japan’s best.
