A Team on the Brink
“Final Table” centers on talented Korean chefs from around the world who gather to compete in “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a cutthroat competition to determine the best Korean chef. The newly released stills introduce the crew of Famiglia, a struggling restaurant fighting for survival after its owner chef’s dishonorable death.
Leading the team is Kang Han, played by Ahn Hyo Seop. Kang Han is Famiglia’s head chef, celebrated for his razor-sharp culinary instincts and creativity. Having traveled the world absorbing different techniques, he reinterprets what he has learned in his own style and firmly believes food has the power to move people’s hearts. His diverse experience makes him the natural leader as the team faces off against elite rivals.
Hong Hwa Yeon plays Choi Song Yi, Famiglia’s owner and floor manager. After her father’s passing, she refuses to let the restaurant he devoted his life to building die, throwing herself into everything from serving customers to washing dishes and prepping ingredients. She is outspoken, stubborn, and impossible to discourage.
A Found-Family Kitchen
Rounding out the crew are two colorful supporting chefs. Kim Jae Hwa plays Choi Doo Young, Song Yi’s aunt and the restaurant’s sous-chef. Though she has only been cooking for a year, she brings order to the chaos with her ingredient organization, strict hygiene standards, and command of the kitchen’s basic operations.
Lee Bong Jun completes the lineup as Park Geon Woo, the team’s dessert and garde manger specialist. Armed with a traditional Korean liquor sommelier certification and experience running his own restaurant at just 23, he fills the gaps in the team with sharp concentration and sound judgment.
The four could not be more different, but they share one goal: winning “The Table: K-Chef 2026” and bringing Famiglia back to life. Despite having worked together for only a short time, the stills show a team learning to divide responsibilities and move in sync under pressure.
When to Watch
“Final Table” will premiere on October 24 at 10:40 p.m. KST, joining a crowded slate of fall K-dramas. With Ahn Hyo Seop headlining and a revenge-tinged culinary rivalry at its core, the series looks set to be a must-watch for fans of cooking dramas.
