BTS just reminded everyone who rules the K-pop world. The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual boy group members, and BTS dominated the list — sweeping four of the top five spots.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 755 boy group members, using big data collected from September 17 to October 17.

Jimin Holds the Crown

Jimin continued his reign at first place with a brand reputation index of 4,822,962, marking a 23.49 percent increase in his score since September. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “October 13,” and “birthday” — clearly, birthday celebrations from fans sent his buzz through the roof. His highest-ranking related terms included “perfect,” “participate,” and “celebrate,” and his positivity-negativity analysis revealed an astonishing 94.97 percent positive reactions.

Jungkook Rises, San Holds Strong

Jungkook rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 3,454,210, up 9.13 percent from last month. ATEEZ’s San held onto third place with a score of 2,977,493, standing tall as the only non-BTS member in the top five. Jin came in fourth at 2,343,460, while V rounded out the top five with 1,875,290.

With BTS members holding four of the top five spots, the message is loud and clear: whatever other groups are doing this month, the kings of K-pop are still sitting comfortably on the throne.
