The October 23 edition of WWE SmackDown is already stacked. During this week’s show, General Manager Nick Aldis loaded up next week’s card with three big matches — headlined by a Street Fight and a Women’s Tag Team Title bout.
The biggest stipulation match of the night will see Giulia go one-on-one with Blake Monroe in a Street Fight. The match was announced during a backstage segment between Monroe and Aldis, and with no disqualifications in play, this one promises to be violent.
Tag Team Gold on the Line
Championship gold is also up for grabs as Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against B-Fab and Michin. Paxley and Bliss have been building momentum as champions, but B-Fab and Michin are hungry for their first title reign together.
Bakusai vs. The MFT
Rounding out the announced card, Bakusai — the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki — will take on The MFT (Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga). The faction warfare between these two units has been simmering, and next week it finally boils over.
With a Street Fight, a title match, and a grudge tag match all announced in one night, SmackDown didn’t waste any time setting the stage. October 23 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Friday nights of the year.
