The AEW-NJPW crossover is about to get a whole lot bigger. More AEW wrestlers are planned for upcoming spots in Japan, with the names set to be revealed in the coming weeks, Fightful Select reports.
The invasion already has a headline act: Kenny Omega made his NJPW return at King of Pro-Wrestling, attacking IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley and MJF have appeared via video at recent NJPW events, planting flags of their own.

Omega’s Attack Set the Tone
Omega’s surprise at King of Pro-Wrestling was no small statement. Laying out the IWGP Heavyweight Champion signals a top-of-the-card program in New Japan, and it marks Omega’s first real NJPW engagement since his return to Japan after the PAC tribute. With the company now promising more AEW names for Japanese dates, the partnership is clearly in overdrive heading into Wrestle Kingdom season.
The Working Relationship Deepens
AEW and NJPW have traded talent for years, but this wave feels different. Moxley and MJF both appearing via video at recent NJPW shows suggests storylines are being built on both sides of the Pacific rather than one-off surprise appearances. With more reveals coming over the next few weeks, the forbidden door is looking less like a door and more like an open hallway.
Expect these names to surface alongside Wrestle Kingdom build — historically the window where NJPW loads up on surprises.
