Bron Breakker gave fans another frightening scare at a WWE live event on October 17, landing awkwardly on his neck during a high-risk spot. The footage is tough to watch — but remarkably, Breakker finished the match afterwards.
The moment came during a six-man tag in which Breakker teamed with Bronson Reed and Austin Theory against Oba Femi, LA Knight and Penta. Breakker was setting Knight up for his Frankensteiner from the top rope, a move fans have seen him land plenty of times. This time, everything went wrong: Knight slipped out just as Breakker jumped toward the turnbuckle, and Breakker lost his footing, crashing down in ugly fashion around his neck and upper-body area.
The referee immediately rushed over to check on him. To Breakker’s credit, he was able to continue and finish the match — an encouraging sign, though there is currently no confirmation from WWE or Breakker about whether he actually escaped without injury.
Not the First Scare
What makes the footage harder to watch is that this is not the first time Breakker has had a nasty neck landing. Back at Survivor Series: WarGames in November 2025, a Doomsday Device spot involving Cody Rhodes and CM Punk went badly wrong when Breakker failed to complete the rotation and came down directly on his neck.
Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez described just how frightening that moment looked: “They tried to Doomsday Device, but he did not flip over, landed right on his neck, thought this guy was dead.”
Now, less than a year later, Breakker has had another close call. The fact that he walked out of the October 17 match under his own power is positive, but until WWE provides an actual update on his condition, it is too early to say he came through this one unscathed.
Waiting on an Update
Fan-shot footage of the spot has been circulating online since Saturday night, with viewers split between praising Breakker’s toughness and worrying about his long-term health. The powerhouse’s all-action style is a huge part of his appeal, but high-risk top-rope spots come with high-risk consequences.
WWE has not commented on Breakker’s status as of publication. Fans will be watching closely for any word in the coming days — and hoping the next update is a reassuring one. For a performer whose entire presentation is built on intensity and impact, the hope now is simply that he can keep delivering it safely.
