A free luxury apartment sounds like a dream — until the dream starts moving on its own. The new horror thriller “My Home,” starring Jang Gyuri and Bae Jong Ok, has locked in its theatrical premiere date with a chilling new poster, confirming it will hit theaters on November 25.
The story follows Gyu Bin (Jang Gyuri), a 24-year-old college student barely surviving with no one to rely on. When she lands a room in a luxury apartment under unusually generous terms — zero rent — she moves in with her elegant landlady Geum Rim (Bae Jong Ok). Strange events soon follow, and Gyu Bin begins to suspect the woman who owns the building is hiding something far darker than bad wiring.

A Psychological Battle Under One Roof
The film’s tension runs on a two-woman game of suspicion. Geum Rim’s polished exterior conceals an unsettling side, and the two women lock into a tense psychological battle as Gyu Bin tries to figure out what is real and what is happening to her. Kim Min Chul plays Bu Young, the one ally who suspects the house itself is hiding a secret.
The newly released poster sets the mood with a blood-red background and a provocative tagline: “Would you move into a luxury apartment with zero rent?” Surrounding a bizarrely coiled snake are shamanistic objects — a dried pollock, a bracelet in the five traditional Korean colors, talismans, and a jar of salt — hinting at the sinister secrets behind the home’s perfect facade.
November’s Horror Season Keeps Growing
Korean horror has been on a roll, and “My Home” arrives right in the heart of the spooky season with a premise built for maximum unease: the fear isn’t a monster in the dark, it’s the person holding your lease. Jang Gyuri continues her move from idol to actress — she can currently be seen in “The Player 2: Master of Swindlers” — while veteran Bae Jong Ok brings heavyweight presence to the landlady role.
Circle November 25. Rent might be free, but the cost of staying could be much higher.
