The National Wrestling Alliance aired the latest episode of NWA Powerrr on October 17 on Comet TV, headlined by two title defenses and a brewing rivalry between Colby Corino and Kerry Morton.

Both TV Titles Retained
In the evening’s championship action, Sirena Veil put her NWA Women’s Television Championship on the line against Bobbi Thunder and walked away with her title reign intact. Veil issued an open invitation earlier in the show — a “Bloodbath Invitational” for anyone bold enough to challenge her — but Thunder couldn’t capitalize on the opportunity.
Over on the men’s side, MZRY successfully defended the NWA Television Championship against Tony Leyenda, continuing his strong run as the division’s top dog.
Corino vs. Morton Heats Up
The most heated segment of the night belonged to Colby Corino, who claimed he wasn’t at 100 percent when he previously faced Kerry Morton. Morton interrupted with a new personal ring announcer in tow and offered Corino a rematch — but with a catch. If Morton wins, Corino has to publicly admit that Morton is the greatest. Corino looked ready to fight on the spot, but Morton thought better of it and backed off, leaving the score unsettled.
Tag Team Action and More
Axton Ray and Shawn Carlson picked up a win over Pretty Boy Smooth and Effy in tag team action, while the show was packed with storyline movement elsewhere. Kenzie Paige admitted she’s unsure about continuing to team with her sister Kylie Paige, and Brandon McCord tried to recruit Blunt Force Trauma to his cause.
Elsewhere on the episode, Bryan Idol attempted to make amends with Thom Latimer, Da Pope explained to The Light why he needs a match with Mims, and Dr. Chris Nowinski made an appearance on the Carson Drake Experience.
