Bandido and Brody King — better known together as Brodido — have become one of AEW’s most successful tag teams, and the masked luchador is finally explaining why the odd-couple pairing works so well. Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling, Bandido joked that his partner has a habit of using his body as a weapon during their double-team moves — and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

“He Always Used Me As A Weapon”
When asked about teaming with Brody King, Bandido laughed: “Well, he always used me as a weapon. So that’s great. Yeah, so that’s good for me.”
But behind the joke lies genuine in-ring chemistry. Bandido explained that Brody King learned lucha libre when he was young, with one of his first trainers being a luchador himself — a background that lets the big man seamlessly mesh with Bandido’s high-flying Mexican style. “I think we have a good chemistry because he learned lucha libre when he was young,” Bandido said. “He can understand all my style.”
Brodido’s Championship Success
The results speak for themselves. Brodido have held the AEW World Tag Team Championships together, and they are two-time Trios Champions alongside Hangman Adam Page — most recently capturing the titles at AEW WrestleDream this past weekend.
From championship gold to a partnership built on lucha libre roots and literal human-weapon double teams, Brodido’s unlikely chemistry has become one of the most entertaining acts in AEW. If Bandido keeps letting Brody hurl him around, the gold may keep coming.
