The stars of JTBC’s upcoming culinary drama “Final Table” are serving up some seriously wholesome chemistry talk ahead of the premiere. Ahn Hyo Seop, Chang Ryul, and Jung Eugene sat down to dish on what it’s really like working together — and their mutual admiration is off the charts.

Ahn Hyo Seop on Finding His Kang Han
Ahn Hyo Seop stars as Kang Han, a genius chef competing in “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a high-stakes cooking competition that gathers talented Korean chefs from around the world to determine the best Korean chef. He admitted his co-stars made slipping into the role easy.
“From the moment I first met the other actors, I thought, ‘Everyone is really well-suited to their respective roles,'” he said. “That really helped me ‘become’ the character of Kang Han.”
He singled out Chang Ryul for giving every scene its due: “I was impressed by how Chang Ryul doesn’t brush off a single scene and gives each one depth and intensity up until the very end, and seeing that really inspired me in a positive way.” As for Jung Eugene, he noted her natural aura meshes perfectly with her character, Seon Jung Won, who observes situations from a distance and mediates between people rather than taking sides.
Chang Ryul and Jung Eugene Return the Praise
Chang Ryul, who plays Cha Woo Jin, the chef-owner of Korea’s top restaurant, said he’s been “really inspired by Ahn Hyo Seop’s sincere attitude towards the drama and his character.” He added that Jung Eugene “always keeps things centered by serving as an anchor,” and revealed that he tries to follow scenes from her perspective when they film together.
Jung Eugene, playing the executive producer of the competition Seon Jung Won, said watching Ahn Hyo Seop bring Kang Han to life made her root for the character. She also praised Chang Ryul as “an admirable actor who never ceases to be curious while reading the script” and “unparalleled in how keen and perceptive” he is while analyzing and acting out scenes.
“Final Table” premieres on October 24 at 10:40 p.m. KST on JTBC — and if the cast’s chemistry is anything like their praise for each other, viewers are in for a treat.
