Cody Rhodes has weighed in on one of wrestling’s most enduring legends — and his take is pure Cody: Haku is both the toughest wrestler of all time and the sweetest human being you’ve ever met.

The comments came in a new interview with Comedy Shorts, where Rhodes was asked about the legendary tough man. “I’ll tell you this crazy thing,” Cody said. “I was such a slow learner in terms of… I didn’t want to know about the secrets of it. I liked being out there. I didn’t want to be backstage, even though I was backstage with my dad all the time. I wanted to watch it. But one time, I think it was in Macon, Georgia, Haku, who’s on WWE TV now. Haku is notoriously the toughest wrestler of all time… If you look up anything Haku, and any wrestler will tell you, Haku is the toughest. He’s also the sweetest human being you’ve ever met.”

Haku’s reputation is the stuff of industry folklore — every locker room seems to have its own story, and every wrestler asked names him the same way. This year, he returned to WWE television as part of The MFT’s presentation, bringing that aura with him.
