Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Manga Goes on Hiatus Again Due to Creator's Health

Go, Go, Loser Ranger! is going on hiatus again. The 47th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced that Negi Haruba’s manga is taking a break due to the creator’s health, with no return date confirmed.

A Stop-Start Year for the Series

This is the latest in a string of interruptions for the series. The manga previously went on hiatus on July 8 and only returned last month on September 24, giving it barely a month of serialization before the new break was announced.

Before that, the series entered its final arc on March 18, when it came back from a month-long hiatus. With the story already in its endgame, fans are hopeful that Haruba gets the time and rest needed to bring the series to a proper conclusion rather than rushing it.

The Monster Who Fights the Heroes

Haruba, best known as the creator of The Quintessential Quintuplets, launched Go, Go, Loser Ranger! in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2021. The series flips the sentai formula on its head: the Monster Army invaded Earth thirteen years ago, and the Divine Dragon Rangers rose up to stop them — or so the legend goes.

In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year and forced to churn out a monster a week for the Rangers to publicly crush. But one monster has had enough of the charade. He rebels against the might of the Dragon Rangers and plots to destroy them all — from the inside.

Two Anime Seasons on Disney+

The manga’s popularity earned it a television anime. The first season premiered on TBS and 27 affiliates in April 2024, streaming worldwide on Disney+ (and Hulu in North America). The second season followed in April 2025, again streaming on Disney+. Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English for international readers.
