Two decades after Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black changed music forever, her beloved Camden celebrated the landmark album with a one-night-only tribute concert at the Roundhouse in London on Wednesday, October 21. The evening was led by original album producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, who reunited with The Amy Winehouse Band to perform the album in full.
The crowd outside was pure Amy — winged eyeliner, leopard print, big hair, cigarette smoke. Inside, the Roundhouse — in Winehouse’s beloved Camden, and the last place she ever performed before her tragic death at 27 — was dressed in red velvet curtains and fringe lampshades for the occasion.

Back to Black 20th Anniversary: Who Performed at the Tribute
Ronson and Remi hand-picked a new generation of singers to reinterpret Amy’s songs rather than imitate her. The guest vocalists included Baby Rose, Corinne Bailey Rae, FLO, Jessie Reyez, Jorja Smith, Lianne La Havas, Nia Smith, Sasha Keable, Skye Newman and Yebba, alongside writer and producer p*nut. “Doing justice to the legacy of Back to Black is the order of the night,” Ronson said. “I’m honored to be asked to come celebrate Amy alongside Salaam and some amazing artists worthy of singing her songs.”
How to Watch the Amy Winehouse Back to Black Tribute Concert
Fans who missed the night can still catch it: the concert will air on BBC Two in late October as the centerpiece of a full evening dedicated to Amy’s legacy, and on BBC Radio 2 on Monday, October 26 from 7-9pm within Jo Whiley’s show. The tribute arrives alongside a deluxe 20th anniversary reissue of Back to Black on October 23, featuring unreleased demos, rare B-sides, and a full February 2007 live recording from Amsterdam’s Paradiso.
