The dream match between Hechicero and Zack Sabre Jr. just got even bigger. Their bout at CMLL x NJPW Lucha Kingdom on November 16 at Arena Mexico is now officially a CMLL World Heavyweight Championship match, as the card continues to take shape.

How the Title Match Came Together
The championship stakes were set in motion after Zack Sabre Jr. issued a challenge to Hechicero backstage at King of Pro-Wrestling. Hechicero has since defended his CMLL World Heavyweight title against Liam Slater in the UK, and now the two technical wizards will collide for the gold in Mexico City.
There is real history here. At CMLL’s Anniversary card in September, Sabre challenged for Hechicero’s title in a three-way match that also featured Claudio Castagnoli. ‘El Conjuro’ retained that night, but Sabre was not involved in the decision — giving the British star a legitimate claim to a one-on-one shot. Now the question is simple: will Zack Sabre Jr. become the first British holder of the CMLL Heavyweight gold?
More Matches Added to Lucha Kingdom
The event also added two more bouts to its lineup. Soberano Jr. will face Shota Umino in a singles match, while an eight-man tag team match pits Zandokan Jr., Difunto, Barboza and Furia Roja against KUSHIDA, Black Tiger, Yutani and Shoma Kato.
Lucha Kingdom on November 16 at Arena Mexico is shaping up as one of the standout joint cards of the year, and the newly announced title clash between Hechicero and Zack Sabre Jr. could well steal the show.
