The Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken Steam release is officially happening. The “Muv-Luv Presents 2026” livestream announced on Thursday that the two Schwarzesmarken games — Kōketsu no Monshō (Crest of Red Blood) and Junkyōsha-tachi (Martyrs) — are coming to Steam with full English support.
Planned supported languages include Japanese, English, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. A release date hasn’t been announced yet — timing will be revealed on the official social channels.

What Are the Schwarzesmarken Games?
Both titles are spinoffs of Age’s 2006 visual novel Muv-Luv Alternative. They adapt Hiroki Uchida’s original novels about the 666th TSF Squadron in 1983 — eighteen years before the events of Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse.
The novel series ran for 41 chapters from 2011 to 2014, compiled into seven volumes, with scenario by Uchida and character designs by CARNELIAN. The first PC game, Kōketsu no Monshō, launched in November 2015, with Junkyōsha-tachi following in October 2016.
The story also got a 12-episode anime series in January 2016, directed by Tetsuya Watanabe at Ixtl and LIDEN FILMS, which Crunchyroll streamed as it aired in Japan.
Why This Steam Release Matters
For years, playing the Schwarzesmarken games meant importing or navigating fan translations. An official Steam release with native English (plus both Chinese variants) finally gives international fans an easy legal way to experience the 666th Squadron’s story on PC.
With the Muv-Luv franchise continuing to expand and visual novels finding a bigger audience on Steam, the timing makes sense. Watch the official Muv-Luv social accounts for the release date announcement.
