Ricky Sosa Severe Back Injury: How It Happened in the 10/15 iMPACT Ladder Match
Sosa competed in the main event ladder match on the 10/15 iMPACT, with a shot at the TNA World Championship on the line. During the bout, Moose delivered a powerbomb to Sosa aimed at a propped-up ladder — but Sosa’s back grazed the ladder and he landed directly on the arena floor.
The scary spot forced Sosa out of action, and TNA has not yet given a timeline for his return.
TNA Injury Report: Trey Miguel and Jason Hotch Also Mentioned
The announcement came as part of TNA’s Injury Report segment, which also included updates on Trey Miguel — who won that same ladder match to earn his Destination X world title shot — and Jason Hotch, who is coming off his own brutal 2-out-of-3-falls battle with Mustafa Ali.
It is a tough break for Sosa, whose stock had been rising fast. TNA says it will update fans when there is news on his return to in-ring competition.
