Shortly after their conversation, the citizen walks toward the pier and falls into the dark waters. Hearing the splash, Park Ji Ho quickly assesses the situation and runs to a nearby moored fishing boat, grabs a lifebuoy, and throws it to the citizen.

Grasping the lifebuoy, the citizen holds on to the rope Park Ji Ho pulls, enabling them to get out of the water. As the rescue unfolded live, online viewers praised Park Ji Ho’s calm response and bravery, with clips of the moment spreading rapidly across social platforms.

Park Ji Ho first gained recognition in 2009 through appearances on Comedy TV’s Ulzzang Generation 2. Since then, he has worked as an influencer, connecting with fans through social media and TikTok live streams. This moment, however, is one his audience is unlikely to forget — a live broadcast that turned, in seconds, from an ordinary meal by the pier into a real-life rescue.

The incident is also a reminder of how quickly a bystander’s actions can matter. Park Ji Ho did not hesitate: he found the nearest lifebuoy, kept hold of the rope, and pulled the citizen to safety while viewers watched live. His quick thinking turned what could have been a tragedy into a story of survival.
