The final capped off a night packed with high-flying action that lit up Mexican wrestling fans and lucha libre watchers around the world. Fightful’s Spanish-language account shared several of the night’s wildest moments, including a spectacular “doble plancha” — a double splash — from Skadi and Kira onto Megan Bayne and Harley Cameron.
How Skadi Won the 2026 CMLL Amazonas Grand Prix
The final saw Skadi go toe-to-toe with Megan Bayne, one of the most dominant powerhouses in women’s wrestling and a former AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion. Pinning a star of Bayne’s caliber is the biggest win of Skadi’s career and an instant statement on the international stage.
Another jaw-dropping moment from the night saw Olympia launch Megan Bayne through the air with raw power, a clip that immediately went viral among lucha libre fans. The highlights showed the depth of talent in the Amazonas division, with homegrown CMLL stars mixing it up with international names like Bayne and Harley Cameron.
What Is the CMLL Amazonas Grand Prix?
CMLL — Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre — is the world’s oldest wrestling promotion, and its Amazonas division is its women’s roster. The Amazonas Grand Prix is the division’s showcase tournament, a rare chance for luchadoras to take center stage in the main-event spotlight in Mexico City.
Skadi’s win now puts her name in the tournament’s history alongside the legends who came before her. For CMLL’s women’s division, a homegrown star going over a former AEW champion in the final sends a clear message: the Amazonas roster can hang with anyone in the world.
