Nobody Wants This Creator Erin Foster Has “More Story To Tell” For Season 4 — But Isn't Getting “Too Attached”

If Netflix wants it, Erin Foster is ready to serve up more. The creator of Nobody Wants This has confirmed she has “more story to tell” with a potential Season 4 — even as she cautions herself not to get too attached to the outcome.

Following the release of Nobody Wants This Season 3, Foster spoke about where the Jewish romantic-comedy could go next. The series, starring Kristen Bell as Joanne and Adam Brody as Noah, has followed the couple from their unlikely first meeting into a relationship that has tested family, faith and expectation at every turn.

Nobody Wants This Season 4: Erin Foster On More Story To Tell

Foster told Parade that the next chapter would explore a stage of life the show has been building toward. “There’s those next steps as people who are not in their 20s, getting married and you’re starting off already kind of behind everyone else,” she said. “I experienced that when I got married, I was 37, and it’s a different experience. So, yeah, I do think that there’s more story to tell.”

That perspective has always been the show’s secret weapon. Foster created Nobody Wants This from her own experience of falling in love with a man on the path to becoming a rabbi, and the series has stayed honest about what it means to build a life together later than expected — when careers, families and faith are already fully formed and not easily rearranged.

Will Netflix Renew Nobody Wants This?

For now, a fourth season remains unconfirmed. Foster’s comments make clear she is ready if Netflix calls — but she is deliberately not banking on it. “I try not to get too attached to the outcome,” she noted, a healthy stance in a streaming landscape where even beloved hits are never guaranteed another season.

Still, the ingredients for a renewal are all there: a devoted audience, two stars with crackling chemistry, and a creator who already knows exactly which story she wants to tell next. If Season 3 left Joanne and Noah at a crossroads, Season 4 could be the season where they finally decide which road to take — together, and a little behind everyone else, just like real life.
