Crunchyroll has started streaming an English dub for the Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, with the first two episodes available now. The announcement arrived on Saturday, though it did not name the English dub cast.
The new arc continues the television anime based on Yura Urushibara’s manga Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood, and it picks up after the fierce battles of the Kyoto and Nerima storylines. For dub fans, the wait is finally over, at least for the opening stretch of the arc.
What the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc Is About
Having survived the fighting in Kyoto and Nerima, Shiki and his fellow students at Rasetsu Academy are steadily growing stronger. But not everyone is on the same page. Yaoroshi rejects Mudano’s lessons about the importance of friendship and answers the call of Oni Brigade General Hayate Todoroki, who preaches the total eradication of the Momotaro.
Yaoroshi leaves the academy, and when Shiki realizes the Oni Brigade’s creed makes even noncombatants targets for slaughter, he sets out after him with Mudano and the other students. Their destination is Nikko, where the famous Kegon Falls stopped flowing some time ago and a massive research facility has since been built. Inside its walls, horrific experiments are underway, setting the stage for the arc’s darkest confrontations yet.
Tougen Anki’s Run So Far
The Tougen Anki anime debuted in July 2025, with the Nerima Arc beginning in October 2025. The Nikko Kegon Falls Arc debuted on television on October 2, and it reached streaming services outside Japan the same day. Outside Japan, the series streams on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus, Anime Onegai, iQIYI international, bilibili, Laftel, TVING and many more platforms.
Crunchyroll is also releasing an English dub for the series as a whole, and the anime has a mini companion series titled Onimomomomo, with episodes released weekly alongside the main show.
The Team Behind the Anime
Ato Nonaka directs the anime at Studio Hibari, with Hiroyuki Hashimoto as assistant director. Yukie Sugawara writes and supervises the scripts, Ryoko Amisaki designs the characters, and Kohta Yamamoto composes the music, with Pony Canyon handling music production.
Urushibara launched the manga in Akita Publishing’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in June 2020, and the 30th compiled volume shipped on July 8. Yen Press began publishing the manga in English in September 2024, and it will release the sixth volume on November 24. The manga previously inspired stage plays that ran in Tokyo and Osaka in February 2024, with a sequel stage play following in January 2025.
With the dub now rolling out, English-speaking fans can finally follow Shiki’s journey to Nikko in their own language, and more dubbed episodes should follow as the arc continues.
