Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Hour of Ruin Release Date November 4 Unites All Seven Nations of Teyvat

Genshin Impact Version 7.2, titled “Hour of Ruin,” will arrive on November 4, and it is shaping up to be one of the biggest turning points in the game’s story so far. With the Nails of Retribution waking across Teyvat and threatening civilization itself, representatives from all seven nations are answering the Tsaritsa’s call and heading to Snezhnaya to fight back together.

Genshin Impact Version 7.2 release date is November 4, and the headline hook is unity: for the first time, the nations are not facing a crisis alone. As strange pillars of light appear across the world and the so-called Holy Soil phenomenon throws each nation into crisis, the Tsaritsa convenes a historic gathering in Snezhnaya. Players will stand alongside the Archons, Neuvillette, and allies from across Teyvat in a collective effort to stop the destruction before it spreads further.

Genshin Impact Version 7.2 Archon Quest Unites the Seven Nations

The new Archon Quest puts that alliance front and center. Energy fluctuations from the Nails of Retribution are growing more violent, and the fallout is no longer something any single nation can contain. The gathering in Snezhnaya is therefore less of a summit and more of a last stand, with envoys from Mondstadt to Natlan pooling their strength against a shared threat.

Players who complete the Archon Quest within the designated period will earn 560 Primogems plus Character Ascension Materials for Mitya, the update’s new headliner. Separate Secret Tsarist Assignments add more rewards, including a Snezhnaya-themed Wind Glider, giving explorers a reason to dig into the region’s hidden side as well as its main story.

New Snezhnaya Region, Novokitezhgrad and Wingspan Peak

Version 7.2 also opens a new region in eastern Snezhnaya. Players can ride the railway to Novokitezhgrad, the nation’s main producer of Kresnik Kristall. Built entirely underground and encased in the glowing crystal, the subterranean city is a striking contrast to the snow-covered world above it.

Further east lies Wingspan Peak, which unfolds like a gigantic wing, and Old Kitezhgrad, Snezhnaya’s first city, founded by the Belyi Tsar. The journey is not just sightseeing: players will help Snezhnaya confront the Holy Soil phenomenon unleashed by Ronova, using new Prime Ice Constructs and two elemental shotguns to neutralize hazards from contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits while uncovering more of the nation’s past. A colossal creature from the ocean depths also awaits challengers in Novokitezhgrad.

New Meeting Point quests follow Danica on a clandestine cleanup assignment for the Tsaritsa in Novokitezhgrad, and Mitya as he investigates soil near Teplo Oasis. Their separate paths are destined to cross in unexpected fashion, adding a quieter, character-driven thread to the large-scale crisis.

New Characters Mitya and Valeriy Join Genshin Impact 7.2

Mitya, long described as an optimistic scientist willing to defy the Heavenly Principles, joins the playable roster as a 5-star Electro Catalyst wielder. In a party, he converts Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions, boosting the whole team’s Stellar-Conduct damage while building up special energy. Tapping his Elemental Skill releases that energy as periodic Stellar-Conduct damage, while holding it unleashes a rapid flurry of enhanced Charged Attacks, letting him shift between off-field and on-field roles. His Elemental Burst deals area Electro damage and generates more energy to keep rotations flowing.

In certain areas of Snezhnaya, Mitya’s detection device also helps uncover hidden paths and unlock a reward that can change his appearance, a nice bonus for players who like to explore every corner.

Also joining the roster is Valeriy, a 4-star Electro Sword wielder and disciplined Major of the Armory Palace, who provides shields and boosts Electro damage, particularly for Stellar-Conduct teams. In the first phase of Event Wishes, Mitya and Valeriy debut alongside a rerun of Furina, while the second phase brings back Zibai and Linnea with a new Chronicled Wish featuring certain Natlan characters.

A new limited-time event, unlocked by progressing through the Archon Quest or via Quick Start, unites players with allies from Mondstadt to Snezhnaya in a coordinated stand against the Holy Soil phenomenon. Expect rescue missions, intel relays and urgent assignments, with Primogems, enhancement materials and a free 4-star character of choice on offer. Even after the event ends, the area remains explorable so players can see the aftermath.
