Olivia Rodrigo’s You Seem Pretty Sad Returns to No. 1 After Expectations Remix
Rodrigo first released “You Seem Pretty Sad” back in June, when it bowed atop the chart and stayed there for a second week. The album’s return to No. 1 was powered by the October 15 release of her first-ever remix of “Expectations” featuring Roan, who also made her feature debut on the track. The remix push sent the album back to the top with 75,000 equivalent album units.
Rodrigo Bumps Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl From the Top Spot
The chart comeback also dethroned Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl”, bumping it from the summit. The Rodrigo-Roan collaboration has clearly struck a chord with fans, with the remix giving the album a second life months after its original June release. A third week at No. 1 cements “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” as one of the defining albums of the year, and the Rodrigo-Roan pairing as one of pop’s most talked-about team-ups.
