The card opened with a tag team win for Alexxis Falcon and Myla Grace, who defeated Nikki Storm and Angel Hayze, before the championship picture took centre stage with a remarkable run of Proteus Championship drama.
PROGRESS Chapter 199 Bonestorm Title Changes
Tommy Tanner retained the PROGRESS Atlas Championship against Sha Samuels, holding on to his title in a hard-fought defence. The Proteus Championship then dominated the middle of the show, as Paul Walter Hauser first retained against Scott Oberman, then retained again later in the night against Cian Noonan, with Oberman in his corner for the second defence.
Hauser’s remarkable night ended in defeat, however, as Donovan Dijak defeated him to capture the PROGRESS Proteus Championship, closing the book on a three-defence evening for the outgoing champion and crowning a new titleholder in front of the London crowd.
Elsewhere on the card, Eddie Kingston defeated Luke Jacobs in a singles match that continued Kingston’s emotional run through the UK independent scene. In a number one contenders match for the PROGRESS World Tag Team Championships, CPF (Danny Black and Joe Lando) defeated Lykos Gym (Kid Lykos and Kid Lykos II) to earn their shot at the titles.
Charles Crowley Wins ThunderBastard Match at Bonestorm
The main event picture was settled in a ThunderBastard Match to determine the number one contender for the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship. Charles Crowley outlasted a stacked field featuring Chris Ridgeway, Drilla Moloney, RKJ, Gene Munny, Man Like DeReiss and Simon Miller, earning himself a future championship opportunity.
With a new Proteus Champion in Dijak, a new tag team number one contender in CPF and Crowley now waiting in the wings for the Men’s World Championship, Chapter 199 reshaped several divisions at once. PROGRESS now heads into its next chapter with fresh title races across the board, and the Bonestorm fallout is sure to dominate the promotion’s next shows.
