Sol Ruca may not have been in the wrestling business long, but she has already learned one of its most valuable lessons — and she learned it from one of the greatest of all time. Speaking on KRON4, Ruca credited Becky Lynch with teaching her how to stick up for herself when she disagrees with something.

Ruca got her start at the WWE Performance Center in NXT in 2022, and despite her short time in the business she has already won championships and competed on high-level premium live events. Her first title on the main roster was the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which she captured by defeating Lynch herself.
What Sol Ruca Learned From Working With Becky Lynch
Asked what she took from working with Lynch, Ruca did not hesitate. “She is one of the greatest of all time for a reason,” she said. “She is so good at what she does and the character work. I’ve learned a lot from her, especially in the character aspect of it.”
She pointed to Lynch’s instincts: how she takes promos and segments and makes them her own, how she knows what fans will respond to, and how she can turn almost nothing into something. But the lesson that stuck most was about creative itself. “She’s really good at questioning creative and trying to make everything the best that it can be,” Ruca said. “I definitely learned to be able to stick up for myself a little bit when I disagree with certain things. She’s really good at doing that in a respectful way.”
That balance — pushing back without burning bridges — is one of the hardest skills in wrestling, and learning it from Lynch, who built a career on exactly that kind of conviction, is no small education.
Sol Ruca’s Next Chapter After Money in the Bank
Ruca has yet to compete on television since WWE Money in the Bank, where she took part in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Lynch, meanwhile, is set to take on Stephanie Vaquer on Monday’s WWE Raw.
The student-teacher dynamic between the two remains one of the more interesting threads in the women’s division: a young champion who beat the legend, and who now carries the legend’s lessons about character, conviction and standing her ground into whatever comes next.
